GALAX confirms AD102-300, AD103-300 and AD104-400 GPUs for GeForce RTX 4090/4080 series

Galax presents its GPU series only in China

The company has confirmed the full specs of the new RTX 40 series.

As we mentioned yesterday, NVIDIA tends to omit certain specs when revealing new cards. That’s how we ended up learning the exact die size of the AD102 through a PNY website. While the specs for the RTX 40 series were certainly no surprise, it’s always good to see confirmation on the graphics cards’ unreleased specs.

In this case, GALAX confirms the exact GPU variants used by the three new models:

  • GeForce RTX 4090: AD102-300
  • GeForce RTX 4080 16GB: AD103-300
  • GeForce RTX 4080 12GB: AD104-400

This means that NVIDIA is indeed launching three different GPUs in a matter of weeks, but also a little surprising that the smallest Ada GPU to date (AD104) isn’t part of the 4070 series. Instead, the company has launched two RTX 4080 models with very different specs, which is confusing to say the least.

GALAX RTX 40 graphics cards will all feature a 12VHPWR power connector and identical display connector layout (3xDP, 1x HDMI). It looks like the fastest clocked RTX 4080 to date comes from GALAX, reportedly clocking in at 2685MHz. Other companies are less reluctant to confirm clocks at this time.
